The City of Kalamunda is excited to announce our 2025 Creative Residency Program! These are short term community arts residencies open to creative practioners in any field. The program provides opportunities for connection to Kalamunda’s local creative network, to share skills and
exchange knowledge, and to explore the unique stories and histories of the local Kalamunda area.
This first round of residencies will be located within the Historic Lesser Hall at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre. There will be two residencies taking place from the 12th to 29th of May 2025, and the 15th of June to 5th of July. The Program will offer each artist/artist group:
• A studio/creative space.
• In-kind venue support regarding the hiring of equipment and/or other spaces within the city subject to availability and negotiation
• A grant of $3,000, payable in 2 instalments. An initial payment at least 3 weeks prior to the residency, and a final payment within two weeks of completion of the residency.
• Support and payment by separate invoice in line with NAVA or industry association rates for the delivery of any workshops, artist talks, and public outcomes.
• Promotion of artist, project, community sessions and other activities related to the residency
