Expressions of Interest are now open for the City of Melbourne’s Test Sites program.
Test Sites supports Victorian artists to develop and test a public art idea by providing project funding, curatorial advice and practical support to work creatively in public space.
The program will support up to five artists to develop and test a bold, new public art idea with project funding between $10,000 to $20,000.
Artists will be supported through a series of workshops, monthly meetings and regular peer and mentor support to assist with creative development and project planning.
Artists will need the capacity to commit to the program’s duration and the time required to develop and test their project idea between February and October 2025.
Artists working in sculpture, visual arts, film, sound, performance, installation, socially engaged practice, architecture or another hybrid form who want to expand their practice to the public realm are encouraged to apply.
Places in the program are limited, and participants will be selected through an open Expression of Interest process.
An online information session will be held on Thursday 7 November at 6.30pm.
Express your interest in the program by Monday 25 November at City of Melbourne’s Test Sites program.
