Funding opportunity for Surf Coast Shire creatives!
Surf Coast Shire Council’s 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grants are open to residents involved in arts and culture.
This program supports emerging, mid-career, and established creatives, including First Nations people, individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, and people with disabilities, funding intensive research, experimentation, and new ideas.
Creatives can apply for grants of $3,000 for individuals and $5,000 for collectives to assist them in exploring new ideas and advancing their creative practice and careers.
Surf Coast Shire Council’s 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grants aligns with the Creative Places Strategy 2023–2031, the program Grants encourage innovation through new collaborations, methodologies, and learning opportunities.

Applications open: Monday 27 January 2025
Applications close: Monday 3 March, 3pm
Applications are to be submitted online via SmartyGrants portal.

Information sessions
The Surf Coast Shire Council Arts Team invites creative individuals and groups to an information session about applying for the 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grant. The session will cover the grant process, guide completing the application form, and include a Q&A to help you submit a strong proposal.
