Future Thinkers Art Competition
Welcome to Future Thinkers, a fun competition where art meets science & sustainability, and Primary School Students become innovators and visionaries!
This exciting challenge invites young creators to explore the fascinating world of sustainable innovation through art. This is a chance to draw and design bold, future-ready ideas or a vision of a positive future.
In Future Thinkers, students will channel their creativity and STEAM skills into 2D drawings that showcase their unique solutions for a sustainable future. Whether it’s eco-friendly gadgets, green city designs, edible urban environments, new electric transport, or imaginative energy solutions, we want to see how you envision a better tomorrow!
This competition is all about celebrating small people with big ideas. It’s an opportunity to merge science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) into inspiring artworks that reflect dreams for a brighter, greener world.
We encourage teachers and home-educators to use this competition as a catalyst for a class on sustainability.Â
COMPETITION GUIDELINES
WHO CAN ENTER
– Competition open to all primary school aged students.
– Based in Regional Victoria & NSW (within 180kms of Chiltern Victoria)
WHAT TO DO
– Think up an eco-invention or positive future vision and create a 2D representation of your idea
– Create on A3 or A2 sized paper or card only.Â
–Â Upload a photo of your artwork, along with a title and description of your idea using the entry form below.
–Â 30 artworks will be selected as finalists and artwork will need to be mailed or dropped in to festival organisers for presentation (address and instructions to be emailed to finalists).
–Â These 30 works will be displayed to a crowd of thousands at the event, and judged by our panel of 3 judges. Â
– Winners will be announced during the festival on the Sunday, 13th April and acknowledgements and prizes awarded. (Finalists will be asked to attend if possible). ​​

2025 COMPEITION GUIDELINES
–Â Entries open 20th September 2024 – 20th January 2025
– One (1) artwork maybe entered per child.
– Artwork must be hand-made, not digital or A.I.Â
– Art must be 2D and presented on A2 or A3 paper or card, remembering that it must be mailed in if selected as a finalist.Â
– Competition is open to regional based Primary School children only, with an address within 180kms of Chiltern Victoria.Â
Note:Â We may extend this location range in future years, but we wanted to give country kids an opportunity as there are limited competition for young artist and innovative thinkers regionally.Â
