The Pearl Beach Arboretum Ephemeral Art Trail (PBEAT) aims to create inspiring temporary public art that promotes nature conservation, supports community identity and increases the cultural vibrancy. Creating the unexpected is a key objective.   Applications are now invited for THE PBEAT2025 general art Installations clsong midnight Monday 20 February 2025.

This program offers a unique opportunity to create a site-specific art installation responding to theme for PBEAT2025HARMONY IN NATURE.

The Prizes are:

People’s Choice (any category $1,000.

First Prize (artist or group over 16) $3,000

Highly commended (over 16) $1,500

Young Persons (artist/group (16 & under) $500 + $500 to their nominated school

Highly Commended under 16 under $250 + $250 to their nominated school

School entry (years 4-6) $500 (to school)

School entry (years 7-10) $500 (to school)

Community group entries will only be eligible for the People’s Choice Award.

Installation Week will run from Saturday 15 March until Friday 21 March 2025.

PBEAT2025 will be open to the Public for free during daylight hours. There will be at least 30 other artworks on display. On five weekends the Arboretum Cottage will feature music, dance and workshops.
