City of Melbourne is working with partners to create a Memorial to workers who have died at work, in the heart of Melbourne’s city.
The Memorial will be a meaningful place where families, friends and colleagues of workers who have died while at work can gather, reflect and commemorate their lives.
We invite artists (individuals or teams) to submit an expression of interest for the design of the Memorial. This is a significant new public art commission with a $2.5 million budget funded by the Victorian Government.
Australian and international artists are encouraged to apply.
Express your interest by 5pm, 30 September. To find out more and to apply visit, melbourne.vic.gov.au/workersmemorial.
The Memorial commission is a partnership between City of Melbourne, Victorian Trades Hall Council and the Victorian Government.
