About the opportunity
We are seeking to work with an artist with a Chinese background, or someone who specialises in Chinese artforms, to create an interactive display for Lunar New Year. This project will feature a self-guided activity resulting in an exhibition outcome to be shown in the Explore and Create space at Hawthorn Arts Centre.
A budget of $1,500 is available, and artists applying for this opportunity can decide how to allocate these funds.
The activity is scheduled to run from Monday 20 January to Friday 28 February 2025 (6 weeks), with Lunar New Year falling on Wednesday 29 January 2025.
Installation and pack-down is the responsibility of the artist.
