Overview:
Kingston Arts is pleased to announce our new Performing Arts Development Program, designed to support local creatives in our vibrant arts community. Located just 15km from Melbourne CBD, we can offer tailored assistance to help bring your vision to life.
Applications are now open for January – December 2025. This is an ongoing program with monthly assessments. Applications must be submitted by the 14th day of each month to be considered for that month’s assessment.
What we offer:
- In-kind venue hire at Kingston Arts Centre for up to 20 days
- Seed funding of up to $5,000
- Advice and support from the Kingston Arts team
- Consideration for future programming at Kingston Arts
Eligible activities include:
- Creation, development and/or presentation of new work
- Project or artform research and development
- Engagement of specialist practitioners (e.g., directors, dramaturgs, choreographers)
- Skills development activities (workshops, classes, mentorships)
- Community engagement activities
Selection criteria:
Applications will be assessed on quality, viability, and connection to the Kingston community. We’re looking for projects that demonstrate artistic vision, innovation, and benefit to both the artists and our local community.
