City of Melbourne is seeking artists to express their interest in developing new artwork for the Hero Apartment Building on the corner of Russell and Little Collins streets.
Artists living in Victoria are asked to submit:
- a short statement outlining your background and creative practice
- up to three images of recent artwork.
A concept proposal is not required for this stage of the process.
Three artists will be shortlisted and receive $1000 to develop a concept proposal.
One artist will then be selected and receive $5000 to deliver the final artwork file for fabrication and installation on this iconic building in Melbourneâs city centre.
The successful submission will be displayed on the prominent Russell Street frontage of the Hero Apartment Building for approximately six months.
Submissions close at 5pm on Tuesday, 11 March 2025.
