The City of Whittlesea is accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for four exciting public art opportunities, inviting artists to contribute to vibrant community spaces.
- West Wollert Community Centre Facade Artwork: This high-visibility exterior artwork will become a landmark feature of the new community centre, enhancing the building’s presence while fostering a strong sense of place. Closing date 21 March 2025.
- Walking Thomas Town Church Projection: A temporary projection artwork will illuminate the historic church, creating a striking intersection of heritage and contemporary art. Closing date 28 March 2025.
- Murnong Community Centre Internal Mural: A large-scale interior mural will bring warmth and storytelling to the community centre located in Donnybrook, reflecting the diverse cultures, histories, and identities of the people who use the space. Closing date 4 April 2025.
- Electricity Box Artwork: This project will transform a selected electricity boxes into a visually engaging piece of public art, adding character to the streetscape and celebrating local creativity. This an ongoing opportunity open to submissions.
These projects offer artists a platform to engage with the community and showcase their work in meaningful ways.
