Project Background:

Melton City Council (MCC) is planning for the new Plumpton Aquatic and Leisure Centre 
(PALC). The major new aquatic centre will be located on 206-388 Beattys Road, Fraser 
Rise, located within the Plumpton Precinct Structure Plan.

This development will deliver a world-class inter-generational aquatic, health and 
wellbeing hub for the community. The Centre will feature indoor pools, splash play areas, 
water slides, spas, a sauna, sensory aquatic space, health and fitness areas, 24-hour 
gym, allied health spaces, an outdoor interactive water play area with beach-style 
access, change facilities and a destination café. PALC is designed to achieve a 
prestigious 5-Star Green Star sustainability certification.

The Required Services:

Curatorial Management and Artist Procurement services are required to manage the 
overall PALC Public Art project. This includes:

  • Developing the Artist(s) Brief with MCC
  • Inputting into MCC Public Art Business Case
  • Procurement of artist(s)
  • Contractual management of supply, install of Public Art
  • Project handover
  • Assisting with unveiling and promotional activities.

Tender Timeframes:

  • Tender opens: Friday 4 April 2025
  • Questions close: Wed 30 April 2025
  • Tender closes: Wed 7 May 2025
  • Estimated contract award of successful Curator: late May 2025
