We are seeking innovative and engaging proposals from artists, curators and collectives who are eager to showcase their work in our historic and dynamic gallery spaces. Proposals may include exhibitions, creative research, interdisciplinary projects, site-specific works, or installations.
About Montsalvat
Montsalvat, located in Eltham on Wurundjeri-willam Country, is a historic arts village and creative community with a 90-year legacy. Established in 1934, it has supported thousands of artists, musicians, writers, philosophers, poets and makers by providing time, space, and inspiration to develop their practice.
Our distinctive environment merges art, history, tourism and culture, providing an ideal setting for artists to display their work. Unlike traditional white cube galleries, our heritage multi-use spaces offer visitors and exhibitors a unique experience. Montsalvat hosts a variety of creative programs, events and activities within its’ gallery spaces and exhibitions add to the setting of these activations. Other events may occur in the gallery during your exhibition which may be ticketed, public or private functions. This framework offers additional exposure for your artwork to a broader audience.

Eligibility
Open to creatives working in all mediums, including painting, writing, sculpture, installation, photography, and new media.
Both individual and group exhibition proposals are welcome.
Artists at any stage of their career are encouraged to submit an EOI.
Curators and producers are encouraged to apply
