Project / Forward is a free micro projection art festival that brings digital and new media art to unique, unexpected, and under-served places and communities worldwide. We are contributing to decentralising who gets to show and see moving image and digital art.
We are looking for screening partners. You can be an organisation, an individual, a collective – anyone who is keen to be part of this global movement for one weekend.
35 moving image artists have contributed to the theme: imagine a hopeful future – what would the year 2049 look like and include, if artists were in charge?
Previous screenings have taken place in under-served communities in Hong Kong, Nepal, Indonesia, USA, Thailand, Australia, Colombia, and Kenya to name a few. We would like to add you to that list, and invite you to join our global network of screeners to transform public spaces into vibrant hubs of new media art that envision better futures.
We can offer an advanced preview for anyone working within environments where they need to factor in political / religious / other sensitivities, however the aim of the content is hopeful and inclusive.
