The annual Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarships enable Australian artists to develop their artistic capacities and skills through a dedicated period of practice-based learning at a leading international art school of their choice.
Each scholarship covers reasonable costs for twelve months overseas, including institutional fees for one academic year of study (where applicable), a generous tax-exempt stipend of $75,000, return airfares, and travel and medical insurance.
Established in 1991, this scholarship has supported over 140 artists in building impactful international careers.
This competitive national scholarship program is open to current visual arts students and artists who are graduates from a tertiary institution. Visit the Samstag Museum of Art website to check your eligibility, read the Guidelines and submit your application.
