Entries are now open for the 9th iteration of Artspace Mackay’s Libris Awards, a celebration of the best artist’s books from across Australia!

Held every two years at Artspace Mackay, the Libris Awards bring together works by leading and emerging artist book makers from across Australia. The awards are a chance to celebrate the artform and build on the gallery’s already significant artist book collection through the competition’s acquisitive prizes.

Two of the three prizes are open for public entries. Category 1 is for entries across the whole of Australia, while Category 2 is for entries from the Mackay, Whitsundays or Isaac regions. Category 3 is an invitational prize for tertiary students.

Artspace Mackay invites entries from across Australia to submit their work for:

CATEGORY 1
– Daly Bay National Artists’ Book Award (acquisitive) – $10,000
– Daly Bay National Artists’ Book Award, Highly Commended (acquisitive) – $5,000

Artspace Mackay also invites entries from the Mackay, Whitsundays and Isaac regions for:

CATEGORY 2
Cathy Knezevic Regional Artists’ Book Award (acquisitive) – $3,000
