The Spaces Between is an upcoming exhibition of work by renowned Yorta Yorta and Dja Dja Warung artist, Jandamarra Cadd.
Held at the Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute in Adelaide from 8 December to 3 February, the exhibition will be the first time Cadd’s insightful series of portraits will be brought together in one place.
The exhibition will include eight works by Cadd, including his Archibald finalist work Uncle Archie Roach, as well as the portraits Uncle Bob Randall, Radiance, and Luke Carroll. His masterpiece Uncle Jack Charles, which went viral on social media earlier this year, will also hang alongside two never-released works.
‘Jandamarra is a famous and most respected Aboriginal artist in this country. Tandanya’s support in his latest pioneering series of work is indicative of the reputation and an extraordinary illustrator in his field of expertise,’ said Ruth Miller, Manager of the Culture and Arts Team at the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute Inc.
