Entries for the Stanthorpe Art Festival are now open, with a major prize of $20,000.

This year the festival has added two new prizes, creating further opportunity for artists working in different mediums.

‘It is really exciting that we have an additional two prizes. We are giving away $5,000 for significant 2D work and $5,000 for significant 3D work,’ said Nicola Holly, Manager of Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery.

The festival is an important opportunity for artists to get their works under the noses of some high profile judges. In 2016 Ron Ramsey will work with Dr Kyla McFarlane from QAGOMA to pick the major prize winner.

Entries close on Monday 21 March 2016. For more information visit stanthorpeartfestival.com.au
