Ruth Rogers-Wright is a singer/songwriter from Brixton, South London, UK. She has lived in Melbourne for fifteen years except for several extended holidays back in her homeland.
She first came to prominence in the mid 1980s with the New British Jazz movement as described by seminal London DJ Giles Peterson.
She received artistic acclaim with her band Moontwist. The line-up featured Australian pianist Mark Fitzgibbon and his sister Nichaud Fitzgibbon on back-up vocals.
