Until recently the head of the world’s biggest new arts development and an Australian arts leader with more than 40 years experience, Michael Lynch may be the best placed person in the world to assess Australian arts policy.
He has been CEO of the Australia Council and the Sydney Opera House, London’s Southbank Centre and until recently West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, which is developing Hong Kong’s massive new cultural precinct. Today he was announced as the winner of the 2016 Sue Nattrass Award, which honours exceptional service to the Australian live performance industry.
