The sudden death of Tasmanian academic and author Dr Erica Bell in July this year has led to the establishment of a new Foundation named in her honour, which will present an annual cash prize to an emerging novelist.
The Erica Bell Foundation Literature Award is open to applications from a Tasmanian resident who is a first-time author of a literary work. The winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize, with smaller cash prizes of $1000 and $500 presented to two runners-up.
