LA-based Lewis, who was touring Australia as part of The Illusionists 2:0, was found dead about 9.40am on Saturday on a fourth floor balcony at the Goldsbrough Mort building in Pyrmont Street, Pyrmont.

Police are investigating whether he was climbing between the balcony of his 11th floor room and another floor when he fells, a theory which Lewis’ friend and fellow performer, Mark Kornhauser, has rejected. Nor does he believe Lewis committed suicide.
