Review platforms could face fines up to $1.1 million under Australian consumer laws if they publish fake or selectively negative reviews.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has identified a lack of transparency between businesses and online platforms leading to untrustworthy and anti-competitive  reviewing.
