Australia Council announces September grants

Over $10.4 million has been invested in Australian arts through the Australia Councils for the Arts.

The Australia Council for the Arts has today announced $10.4 million of investment in Australian arts through its September grants round after it was able to increase from $6 million after the partial return of funding last month.

Over 1,700 application were assessed by 115 peers representing all states and territories and all arts practices, with 290 projects by individual artists, groups and small to medium arts organisations across all areas of practice have been funded.

Recipients include Footscray Community Arts Centre, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Adelaide Writers Festival, Right Now, Brisbane Multicultural Arts Centre, Dead Puppet Society, St Martins Youth Arts Centre, and The Stella Prize, and independent artists Alison Croggon, Kate Miller-Heidke, Julia deVille and more.
