Craig Bennett has been named the winner of the 2104 City of Ryde Sustainable Waste2Art Prize (SWAP) for his assemblage Crystal, a construction that had overtones of Robert Rauschenberg, Kurt Schwitters, Arman, and our own Rosalie Gascoigne the heavyweights of assemblage and reuse.

Mayor Roy Maggio declared the revamped Art Prize a huge success, adding: ‘The City of Ryde is fast gaining a reputation as a hub of creativity. The calibre of our local artists is clearly on show tonight at it was great to see so many entries from our young people.’
