What could you do with $1 million?

Arts and the imagination go hand in hand: in the wake of the new Australian Ballet residence we asked other companies what they could achieve with a major one-off grant.

Last week ArtsHub reported on the Australian Ballet School opening its first official student residence, Marilyn Rowe House, purchased with the help of a one-off $1 million grant from the Federal Government.

Up to 37 students will be housed at the residence, which is clearly an important, even vital acquisition for the School. Equally, the $1 million grant was a valuable one, and allowed the School to leverage many millions more in private sector support.
