This Sunday hoards of film enthusiasts will gather in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Freemantle, Brisbane and Surfers Paradise to watch this year’s crop of Tropfest films premiere and another 150,000 people with access to subscriber channel Movie Extra are expected to watch the live broadcast.
Now in it’s 19th year Tropfest has come a long way from its first infamous small screening in Sydney’s Tropicana Café by founder actor/director John Polson. It’s grown into the largest short film festival in the world and certainly Australia’s most prestigious.
