Is letter writing a dying art? Or in this age of texts, sexts and Instagram, is there still a place for the hand-written note – be it a holiday postcard or a piece of fan mail, a once-a-year Valentine or a full-on onslaught of literary love?

For those of us who have more confidence on the page than in person, the act of letter writing can help us get in touch with our feelings and take time to work out the best words to express them. But sometimes we need a little bit of help to get those words flowing.
