Remember when libraries were quiet places where you borrowed books but definitely didn’t eat or talk, let alone drink wine or listen to music? That was in the days when you had to go to the library to get your books or look up something in the encyclopedias you couldn’t afford to have at home.
Now e-books can be borrowed remotely and information has moved online, libraries have a whole new agenda, packed with events programs and community engagement that would have the stereotyped silencing librarian peering savagely over her glasses.
