Accounting is a term that receives mixed responses from different audiences. It’s shunned in some important places. Yet its sister, accountability, receives rave reviews from anyone who isn’t in its sights. Everyone wants to be seen as a sponsor of accountability if not in the same spotlight and, at the same time, using ‘accounting’ as a pejorative.
