We Unfold is the first official work by new Sydney Dance Company Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela. His previous work – 360o was actually a commissioned work for the SDC, and not one he created or produced as the company’s Artistic Director.
According to Bonachela when he spoke to ArtsHub recently, the dance company is now heading in a completely new direction under his leadership. For a start there is an entirely new company of dancers involved, who all better fit the Bonachela requirements for contemporary dancing.
