With the football finals in full swing and the recent headlines devoted to our newly crowned sporting heroes, US Open winner, Sam Stosur and World Champion hurdler, Sally Pearson, it’s obvious Australians are devoted to sport. So it’s not that surprising that it swallows almost 60% of all corporate sponsorship. We love sport and sponsors love to be associated with the things we love. Can the arts in Australia ever compete?
