The First Nations Australia Writers Network gathers in Canberra next week, an exciting and momentous occasion for all Australians that many of us don’t know about.

A gathering of this kind is nourishing for Aboriginal people. Not only is it a great chance for us to check in with each other, as if we’re a family existing in a professional setting, it’s also an opportunity to share personal insights with our colleagues and fellow writers.
