Sometimes what we thought we wanted to do for the rest of our lives can lose its appeal, or we come to the realisation it isn’t for us. This is often experienced by first year university students who need to decide between sticking with it, dropping out, or changing degrees.
Like a bad case of buyer’s remorse where you take your new purchase home only to realise on second inspection that it just doesn’t fit quite right, enrolling in the wrong degree can lead us into a cycle of regret. Only without a refund receipt, there can be more at stake when changing degrees.
