The recognition that we need better wage transparency in the arts has grown alongside a national conversation on fair pay for artists and, more broadly, the lack of funding and resources available.
It’s also a discussion buoyed recently by other important issues — the wage gap to start, and the unequal access to jobs and income growth experienced further by marginalised groups and individuals.
