I’ve been attending and appearing at writers’ festivals around Australia and overseas for about six years now, interviewing authors as well as speaking about my own work. With my first books coming out, as editor and author, I’m looking forward to continuing my engagement with festivals for a long time. Here, I share with you some of the benefits and pitfalls of writers’ festivals, and provide tips on becoming professionally engaged with festivals in Australia and overseas.
