Masterchef contestant Craig Young, who bowed out of the popular TV cooking competition last week, has another string to his bow. A terrible pun perhaps, but as well as being a passionate cook, Young is a cellist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and he now hopes to combine his two loves into a music-inspired cookbook.

It’s been a wild ride he says but he’s had a couple of months to contemplate what he will do next. While viewers only saw the cook off against Alana Lowes in which he was eliminated on June 24, the episode was actually recorded just before Easter.
