For Kate Toon it felt natural to stay in touch with the supporters of her first crowdfunding campaign on Pozible for a poetry book a couple of years ago. She set up a Facebook page and used email software to continue to connect with them.

‘It wasn’t a marketing strategy as such,’ she says. ‘You kind of build a relationship with them to some degree if you do it right…and they feel very involved in what you’re doing so it seemed a shame to lose the connection that I’d made with those people.’
