Three years ago Queensland produced its first ever regional arts and culture plan, artbeat: the Regional Arts and Culture Strategy 2010-2014. Within that five-year plan was the idea for Creative Generators, a pilot program tasked with building creative capacity from scratch in regional communities.
Now that the project is over, it’s time to look back to see how far it has come in those 36 months, which doesn’t seem so long when you measure it in those terms against what had to be done.
