Community arts centres: anything but amateurish

‘Community’ is a word that gets bandied about a bit. You often hear it embedded deep within government jargon, touted as the framework of our society, which would crumble without it. But unlike most political gobbledygook, the word community is actually of utmost importance, particularly when it comes to arts and cultural development.
