Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott implored tertiary institutions to investigate online learning in an address to the Universities Australia Higher Education Conference in Canberra on February 28, citing the explosive development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) as proof of its popularity. We all know that more and more of the world is moving online, but it begs the question of how the creative arts can be adapted to digital education. Perhaps the best place to start is where Mr Abbott left us, at the MOOCs.
