Australia’s Cultural Affordability Divide

Perth is the best place for culture in Australia. If that surprises you, consider that Adelaide comes second, ahead of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. That’s at least when it comes to the affordability of culture such as movies, theatre, library visits, and music festivals according to a new report.

Australia’s first comprehensive study of the cost of culture faced by households has been completed by researchers at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation (CCI) at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
