Finally after ten years, this week The Continuum: The Killing Fields has its Australian premiere at the Melbourne Arts Centre with four exclusive performances. The work tells the story of Em Theay a dancer in the Cambodian royal court who survived the ravages of the Khmer Rouge.

Speaking with ArtsHub at the Arts Centre in a packed day of media engagements, Creative Director of Singapore’s TheatreWorks and director of Continuum, Ong Keng Sen said he’s ‘pleased and fascinated that it’s finally here. ‘Because I think Australia is part of Asia-Pacific. It needs to hear these stories of our immediate history.’
