Melbourne International Arts Festival audiences will have their first opportunity to see the thoughtful empyrean work of internationally acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan in his newest creation, Vertical Road.
In Vertical Road, Khan is exploring universal mythology, spirituality and metaphors of the transition between life and death. It’s a theme that blends well with the zeitgeist creative threads espoused for by Artistic Director Brett Sheehy, for this year’s Melbourne Festival of mortality, spirituality, transition and transcendence.
