You will more than likely always feel a little nervous before an interview; it’s only natural; you’re meeting a new person, selling yourself and your skills and hoping for a positive outcome. Nervous energy can be a good thing, so as long as you prepare yourself well in advance and go in with a positive attitude. Most of all look like you want to be there. Your attitude in the interview, for better or worse will be seen as indicative of your attitude to the position you are applying for.
Speak enthusiastically about your skills and past experiences, be professional but don’t be afraid to let your personality shine through. Be sure to listen carefully to the interviewer so they don’t need to repeat things. Address the specific selection and position criteria and make sure you’ve thoroughly researched the company prior to the interview so that you are familiar with their business and operations.
