Do less, but do it more consistently

You know the feeling: you’ve been working on something for a while, and you’re nowhere near done. A great opportunity pops up, and you can’t say no, so you apply for that too. While waiting for a response, you pitch a piece or two. Suddenly, in one day, you get responses from everything all at once, and you find yourself with an unworkable amount of stuff to do. Why? Any number of reasons. You didn’t want to miss out. You felt so excited about everything that you couldn’t say no. You underestimated the amount of time you’d actually need to complete any of these things. You didn’t want to get left behind.
