Are you being lazy on LinkedIn?

If you’re not using LinkedIn to its full advantage, you could be missing out on a wealth of job opportunities.

We all know about LinkedIn – the professional network that connects you to business contacts – and the tremendous advantages it can provide job seekers with. But LinkedIn is no good if you aren’t using it the right way, and it’s a real shame not to get the most out of this important service.

A sure sign that you’re being lazy in your use is if you have yet to complete your profile. Likewise if you have not made the effort to add a profile picture of yourself. When someone asks you to provide them with a recommendation on the service, you don’t put much effort into it and you’ve had 3 different jobs since you last updated your profile – yet none of them are featured on the site. If you’re a real lazybones you probably don’t even personalise your ‘connection’ request messages.
