‘There’s no interest in having a national collection of art,’ said writer Richard Flanagan. ‘There’s no interest in people who would seek to dream anew what this country might be. You see the constant punishing of people who seek to question, to ask different ideas.’
Flanagan was speaking to a packed Adelaide Writers Week (AWW) crowd in his session, Holding the Hose, a wide-ranging interview chaired by former ABC journalist Kerry O’Brien.
