$5.4 million cut from Australia Council budget

The Federal Government has reallocated $1.8 million a year over three years from the Australia Council to Creative Partnerships Australia.

New cuts to the arts have been revealed in the Turnbull Government’s Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO).

The six-month update to the 2017-2018 budget has reallocated $1.8 million a year over three years – a total of $5.4 million – from the Australia Council for the Arts to Creative Partnerships Australia.
