Announcing the Recovery Roadmap Webinars

Presented by ArtsHub and Creative Victoria, this new webinar series will cover a range of helpful topics as we look to a post-pandemic future, over four compact 30-minute episodes.

With regional Victoria in stage three lockdown, and Melbourne operating under stage four restrictions – including a nightly curfew – planning for the future is now more important than ever.

Thankfully, valuable lessons have been learned during the pandemic, and thanks to a partnership with Creative Victoria, ArtHub intends to share those lessons with as wide an audience as possible.

Running over four weeks in September and presented via Zoom, the Recovery Roadmap Webinars will focus on some of the most urgent topics facing arts organisations and artists today. Each session will feature a different expert or experts in conversation with ArtsHub’s Richard Watts, and all sessions are free (though bookings are essential).

Each session will be live captioned to ensure accessibility for as wide an audience as possible.

Webinar #1: What will post-pandemic audiences look like?

As we emerge from the pandemic, audiences will return to theatres, galleries will re-open, but will they still want to experience art in the same way? Tandi Palmer Williams presents the Patternmakers WolfBrown research, looking at continuing digital offerings, restoring confidence to audiences and finding learnings from the pandemic. This webinar will be held on Wednesday 2 September at 1pm AEST.

Webinar #2: Reaching new audiences in a time of crisis

Could COVID give you an opportunity to find new supporters for your arts organisation? While cities lockdown, regional arts organisations have taken the opportunity to try a different approach and find new audiences. We look at the Yarra Valley Writers Festival who took their very first festival online, and the Latrobe Regional Gallery which re-invented their space for digital delivery. This webinar will be held on Wednesday 9 September at 1pm AEST.

Webinar #3: Communication in COVID and beyond

With so many COVID communications, how do you stay relevant to your audience when they can’t actively participate? Looking at keeping in touch with your audience, keeping them engaged, and staying relevant to their changing needs. This webinar will be held on Wednesday 16 September at 1pm AEST.

Webinar #4: Mental health advisory

Mental health has been the hidden risk during lockdown. Arts Wellbeing Collective’s Kirsty Ritchie talks about some of the ways arts organisations can. look after the mental health of their staff as they face challenges like working from home, balancing new priorities and fostering resilience. This webinar will be held on Wednesday 23 September at 1pm AEST.
