Defunding fight gets personal as PACT fights back

A personal invitation to the NSW Minister for the Arts, Don Harwin, has been extended as PACT works to regain its lost multi-year funding.

Despite having lost their Create NSW multi-year funding at the end of July, the Erskineville-based PACT Centre for Emerging Artists is not taking the decision lying down.

There was ‘definitely shock’ when the decision was announced, said PACT’s Executive Producer/CEO Nuala Furtado, but the organisation has a number of strategies in mind to help them get through this challenging time.
